Soft Landing

An evening of nervous system rest for women who are tired of being tired

Soft Landing is a gentle Friday evening experience for women who are tired of being tired — physically and emotionally.

If your body feels constantly braced, your mind struggles to switch off, or rest never truly restores you, this evening offers a different way.

Through slow somatic movement, nervous-system-informed breath, TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), and guided rest, you’ll be supported to soften out of survival mode and back into your body, at your own pace.

This is not about pushing, performing, or fixing yourself. Everything is invitational. You are always in choice.

The focus is on safety, accessibility, and real rest — the kind that helps your system land rather than collapse. No prior experience is needed, and there’s no expectation to share or revisit the past.

Soft Landing creates the conditions for your nervous system to exhale, so you can leave feeling steadier, more resourced, and gently eased into your weekend.

This is for you if:

You feel constantly tense, wired, or on edge, even when nothing is “wrong”

You’re exhausted but struggle to properly switch off or rest

Your body feels tight, braced, or stuck in go-mode

You carry stress quietly and hold it together for everyone else

Y
ou’re curious about nervous system healing but want something gentle and accessible

You want rest that actually lands — not another thing to do or achieve

Sophie Roe

Sophie Roe is a Somatic Trauma Recovery Coach, Hypnotherapist, and Trauma Release Exercise (TRE®) Practitioner. She supports women to reconnect with their nervous systems, release long-held survival patterns, and gently return to themselves.

Sophie’s work is rooted in trauma-informed, body-based healing and is especially supportive for women who feel exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in patterns of overfunctioning and holding it all together. She combines talk-based support with somatic practices, breath, TRE®, and hypnotherapy to help create a sense of safety in the body, allowing real change to unfold without pressure or overwhelm.

Known for her calm, grounded presence, Sophie creates spaces that are warm, accessible, and deeply respectful of each woman’s pace and capacity — where nothing needs to be forced, and rest is not something you have to earn.

Jodie Smith

Jodie is a mum of two, yoga teacher, and women’s wellness practitioner who understands first-hand how demanding life can be. After navigating her own mental health challenges, yoga became a powerful tool for healing and restoration.

She is also a qualified midwife (BSc) and spent years working within the NHS before experiencing burnout and choosing a different path, one that allows her to support women more holistically. Through additional training in energy healing, menopause wellness, and life coaching, she now creates gentle, restorative retreats for busy women who need space to rest, soften, and reconnect.

Jodie believes true rest is not a luxury, but a vital part of women’s wellbeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any experience to come?

Not at all. This space is beginner-friendly and designed especially for people who are new to this kind of work. You don’t need to know anything about meditation, somatics, or trauma healing—we’ll gently guide you through everything

What should I bring?

Just yourself. You don’t need any special equipment. We recommend wearing something comfy and bringing a bottle of water. We’ll provide everything else you need, including tea, snacks, mats & blankets.

What if I don’t feel comfortable sharing?

That’s totally okay. Sharing is always optional, and you’ll never be put on the spot. This is a gentle, consent-based space where you can participate in a way that feels right for you.

Is this a therapy session?

No, this isn’t group therapy—but it is therapeutic. You’ll be guided through trauma-informed practices that are designed to support your nervous system and emotional wellbeing, but it’s not a replacement for 1:1 therapy or medical support.

What is TRE®?

TRE® stands for Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises—a simple series of movements that help your body naturally shake off deep muscular tension, stress, or trauma. It’s a gentle, self-regulating practice that supports your nervous system to unwind and return to a state of calm.

Are there any medical conditions that mean I need to avoid yoga or TRE?

All retreat attendees will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to the retreat. In many cases, practices can be adapted to suit individual needs, but certain conditions require extra care, including:

Cardiovascular issues

Pregnancy

Seizure disorders or epilepsy

Recent surgery or serious injuries

Glaucoma or eye surgery

If you would like to discuss any medical conditions before booking, please feel free to email us at [email protected]
